Fabian Müller, born in 1990 in Bonn, studied already at the age of fifteen at the Cologne College of Music in the studio of Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich, additionally attending master classes with Menahem Pressler, Pavel Gililov, and Leon Fleisher. Important awards marked his path from early on, beginning with the Beethoven Bonnensis Advancement Award, several first prizes at the national “Jugend Musiziert” competition, the Ibach Prize, the Special Prize of the German Foundation Musikleben, first prize at the Prix amadéo de piano in Aachen, first prize at the competition “Ton und Erklärung” of the Kulturkreises der deutschen Wirtschaft, and others. The education project “A Year with György Ligeti” at the Ruhr Piano Festival, for which he assumed the musical responsibility, was awarded the 2014 Young Ears Prize. Müller was a scholarship holder of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and of the German Music Competition.

Having grown up on Brahms Street in Bonn, not far from the house in which Schumann died and that in which Beethoven was born, Fabian Müller was informed by the aura of the German Classics and Romanticism, which have become a focus of his repertoire. Moreover, he developed a strong affinity, encouraged by Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich, for the music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Concert engagements have taken him to Cologne’s Philharmonie, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, and to numerous performances in other European countries. In addition, he has made guest appearances at renowned festivals, including the Musikwoche Hitzacker, the Aldeburgh Festival in England, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, and the Schwetzingen Festival, and has played with the German String Philharmonic, the HR Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Symphony Orchestra, and Bonn’s Beethoven Orchestra.
