Grzegorz Pazik is one of the leading baritones of a new generation of young Polish artist. He has played 27 opera and operetta roles, including: Onegin, Valentin, Yeletsky, Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte). He has worked with many theatres and orchestras: the Polish National Opera in Warsaw (8 roles), the Hungarian State Opera Budapest, the Krakow Opera, the Baltic Opera in Gdansk, the Opera in the Castle in Szczecin, the Music Theatre in Lublin, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Polish philharmonic. Additionally, he played leading roles on the Belgian, Dutch, French, Ukrainian and Canadian stages. The following well-known conductors and directors have contributed to his development: Kazimierz Kord, Andrzej Straszyński, Wojciech Michniewski, Łukasz Borowicz, Will Crutchfield, György Győriványi Ráth, José Maria Florêncio, Michał Klauza, Maciej Prus, Marek Weiss-Grzesiński, Mariusz Treliński, Waldemar Zawodziński, Julia Pevzner, Jitka Stokalska, Krzysztof Nazar, Janusz Józefowicz. He graduated with distinctions from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Warsaw in 2002, in the solo singing class of Prof. Jerzy Artysz. As a student, he twice received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Art for outstanding educational achievements. The renowned music critic Jacek Marczynski wrote in the popular daily paper Rzeczpospolita: "The name of Grzegorz Pazik is worth keeping in mind”.
